What does International Coffee Organization (ICO) mean?
The ICO consists of a large network of coffee producing and consuming countries that are interconnected through the trade, marketing, and growing of coffee. It was formed in 1963 with oversight from the United Nations, it's main purpose is help develop, protect, and make the coffee industry sustainable. Today coffee production employs over 125 million individuals around the world. As of 2014 there were 39 exporting members and 33 importing memebers.
