As we continuously state throughout our website - this is just our interpretation of the commodities industry - so, especially with the electronic contracts - please be sure to confirm things with your broker or the exchanges themselves - as things are "moving at the speed of the internet".

Electronic Trading of Energy Products - the major markets being traded electronically are Natural Gas and Crude Oil.

e-miNY Futures (sm) (traded at the New York Mercantile Exchange):

New investment opportunities in the energy markets are offered by e-miNYsm energy futures, fractional versions of the Exchange's highly liquid crude oil and natural gas futures contracts. The contracts are 50% of the size of the standard-sized contracts and are financially settled at the settlement price of the world's two most actively traded physical commodity futures contracts. The contracts trade virtually around the clock on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Inc., GLOBEX® electronic trading platform and clear through the New York Mercantile Exchange clearinghouse.

For more information on these e-minNY contracts, click here to go to the NYMEX's web site.
