In Sight

What does In Sight mean?

The term in-sight refers to the quantity of a particular commodity that has arrived at the approved delivery facilities.

Futures Knowledge Explains In Sight

When a commodity underlying futures contracts is 'in sight,' it is considered ready for reasonably prompt delivery. The actual grades, quality and quantity of the commodity is known rather than estimates.  It is available in approved delivery facilities near terminals, or central locations in or near producing areas.
